Happy days with my vintage typewriter

Good morning to you all from our cosy candle lit lounge { it is one dark home on winter days } I do try to get out into the fresh air most days even if literally outside the patio door in my wheelchair with Mark or one of my care team, don't you find that fresh air and nature have such a massive positive impact on your mental health?

Like most people it's a bit tough at the moment, cold weather makes my seizures worse .....actually so does the heat hahaha, i've ended up in A&E twice in the last 7 days and lying on a trolley is a nightmare however i have no choice when my respiration drop to 2 per minute,

One of the reasons we have built the website is to show that there is a life with FND, just a different way of life, let's face it i'm 52 and would have had another 13 years in a very stressful role whereas i get to craft, play and sleep whenever i want.

FND sadly isn't recognised enough by the general public or the NHS, especially the doctors and nurses in A&E, being treated like a time waster each time is so humiliating, it's not just me, i am a member of the FND facebook groups and hear the same story over and over again. I am incredibly lucky to have a very understanding husband, a great family and friends, a fantastic care team plus living in assisted living where i was actually asked to train the whole staff myself, so many people are out there alone, its unbearable for them.

Back to today...i'm sitting with my carer and we are completing a commission for an 80 years old birthday scrapbook, every 4 pages will have a title and that what we are providing....we type the words on medium weight calico and the customer can cut into it as they need, on this occasion he is a Morecambe football fan so we have added words such as ' come on the shrimps' and 'up in the stands' You would'nt believe some of our commission requests hahaha, i'm a bit of a giggler so i am happy to type anything unless of course malicious or threatening.

This afternoon we will having a photo shoot of some of my large journals so keep an eye out for them.
